AMAAL means Hope and Aspiration. Established in 1992, the Amaal Girls Project works pro-actively with girls and young women aged  Between 9 and 25.

Amaal seeks to re-engage young girls into mainstream provision such as education, employment, training and community work. Through the provision of ‘all girls’ youth club sessions and holiday schemes, Amaal helps contribute to local regeneration by encouraging more women from ethnic Minority backgrounds to access local provision and take a more positive outlook to life. This in turn raises confidence and self esteem.

Amaal uses a broad range of extra-curricular and recreational activities and adopts an approach sensitive to the needs of a multi-cultural community.
